The school provides a broad curriculum that encourages and facilitates the development of each child to his or her full potential. Each child has an Individual Education plan & Individual Behaviour Support Plan.
We endeavour to do this in a positive, caring, warm environment, where our children are respected, nurtured and encouraged. A range of teaching methods are employed within the school – ABA, TEACCH etc and each child has an Individual Education Plan.
We work with the Curriculum set out by the Department of Education & Skills, including the Curriculum relevant to mild, severe/profound learning disabilities.
Subjects include:
- Language & Communication
- Maths
- SPHE (A range of life skills etc)
- SESE (Geography, History, Science)
- Visual Arts (Art, Drama, Music)
- Physical Education
- Irish is available to those students eligible for same.
This year our Junior Cert Level 2 students will commence work on their short course Caring for Animals.
